Inca Plum
Prunus salicina
Luther Burbank of Santa Rosa, California first introduced the Inca plum in 1919. The plum is heart-shaped, tapering toward the tip. The skin is a beautiful golden color and when ripe it has magenta specks and a magenta blush around the stem end. The flesh is rich, dense, and crisp. It has an explosive flavor with a balance of tartness and sweetness.
