Climate change, monocropping and a variety of other fast-developing factors are threatening an increasing number of rare foods and impacting biodiversity around the globe. Join author of Eating to Extinction, Dan Saladino, as he discusses his book with two heralded food leaders: Dr. Jessica B. Harris, author of High on the Hog, and Alice Waters, chef and food activist and writer.
They’ll explore the impact that food extinction has on food histories, food access and food justice, and describe how efforts like the Ark of Taste and the Slow Food movement can interrupt the degradation of our planet and cultures.
