Slow Fish North America and Slow Food USA are proud to present Slow Fish programming in partnership with Slow Food Charleston and Charleston Wine + Food festival to bring Slow Fish programming to the Charleston, South Carolina area. Rising Tide events are collaborations between Slow Fish North America, Slow Food USA, and Slow Food communities throughout the US and Canada. By coordinating well-planned regional events centered on the shared values around food that is good, clean, and fair, we aim to bring more people into the conversation about why seafood with values matters.

Thursday, March 2, 5:30-8:30
Slow Fish Dinner in partnership with Estadio, who will be offering several Slow Fish dishes. Seafood will be sourced locally from Abundant Seafood. Come eat with us and learn about Slow Fish!
We will be at Abundant Seafood with Blair Machado of Hamfish at his popup (popup runs from 12-6) and Ana Shellem of Shell’em Seafood talking about Slow Fish, Slow Food USA, sustainable seafood and more. Come nosh with us!
Sunday, March 5, 12-1
We will be rounding out our programming in Charleston at the Charleston Wine and Food Festival event: Slow Fish Rising Tide Seafood Throwdown® at the Culinary Village Stage. We will be on the stage with Chef Kevin Mitchell and Tia Clark of Casual Crabbing with Tia. The chefs will be presented with a local seafood of culinary significance and they will each prepare a dish using the seafood and talking about its place in the environment, culture and on our plates. Stephanie Burt to moderate. Attendees will get to taste the dishes at the end of the demo while reflecting on the Slow Fish values shared during the demo!
