Slow Food USA and Slow Food Canada regional meeting
May 31, 3:00 pm - 4:30 pm EDT
Dear Slow Food network activists,
We are now approaching the next edition of the International Congress which, as you have read in the letter received by our President Carlo Petrini, will be held on July 16 and 17 in Pollenzo, Italy (all details here).
The pandemic does not allow us to hold a large face-to-face meeting, as in the past. It is for this reason that from now until mid-June we are organizing a series of regional meetings to discuss the future of our organization and ensure that the voices of our network are well represented at the Congress and Terra Madre.
At this purpose we’re inviting you to a regional meeting involving the SF leaders and activists in the United States and Canada. It will take place on Tuesday, May 31st at 3PM ET and will be online.
During the meeting, we will explain the functioning of the upcoming Congress, discuss about the relevant documents how it will be organized and how the network will be represented. On this occasion, we will also share information about the Terra Madre 2022 event, which will take place from 22-26 September, in Turin, Italy.
Please have a look at the documents in the meantime and if you have any question, doubt or suggestion, you can come to the meeting.
SF Community spokespersons, convivium/chapters leaders and active members of the committees will participate in these meetings and then will share what has been exchanged with everyone who is part of the local Slow Food networks. Please feel free to share this invitation to the active members of your communities, if they are interested.
Your presence is essential for our movement to become more and more representative and inclusive.
Thank you and look forward to seeing you on the 31st!
