PreK-5th grade food systems lessons involving the concept of "Fair" that fall into one of these categories:

- Producers (Ranchers, Farmers, Fishers)
- Pickers/Harvesters/Seasonal Workers
- Transporters (Food Movers/Middlemen)
- Consumers
- Workers Rights
- Fair Access/Food Justice
- Under-Resourced Areas/Areas to Increase Nutritious Security
- Health Outcomes
- Joy & Justice
- Black, Indigenous, and People of Color
ENVIRONMENT
- Farming Practices (Regenerative vs. Conventional vs. Cultural/Indigenous)
- Protecting our Natural Resources (Land/Water/Soil/Air/etc.)
- Local Food
- Meatless Monday/Plant Based Diets
- Food Waste/Composting
- Disco Soup
FOOD
- Distribution Chanels (wholesale, farm direct, local deliveries, farmers markets, food pantries)
- Retailers (grocery store, corner store, online sales)
- Restaurants
- Institutions (schools, hospitals, jail system)
- Processors (fresh cut, canning, freezing, drying, value added)
- Farm Economy/Farmer Prices
- Garden to Cafeteria
- Quality/Nutritional Value of food (how it's grown, soil, timelines of food)
- Production/Transportation/Consumption
- Black, Indigenous, or other traditions centered around food led by communities of color
Submit the brief outline below. If your content is selected, you will be asked to add more details and receive $100 for your content. Your name will be added as a contributor to the curriculum.
