Terra Madre Salone del Gusto is Slow Food’s flagship international festival. Hosted every other year in Turin, Italy, this event is the best food conference you’ve ever been to, combined with a huge food marketplace, workshops, networking, music, and the flavors of the world. This year, the festival will take place Sept. 22-26, 2022.

Terra Madre 2020 was mostly virtual due to COVID-19, so we are excited to be back in person in 2022. Slow Food USA will be hosting a delegation and helping Americans connect with each other there. Sign up for updates as we get them!

You can also find more information about Terra Madre and what to expect using this link. We’re excited to start this process with you on the road to Terra Madre in Turin!

The Road to Terra Madre is a series of initiatives that showcase positive models for the transformation of our food systems. As the climate crisis, the pandemic and most recently the war in Ukraine have shown us, our current food systems are plagued by inadequacies.

The events on The Road to Terra Madre are festivals of their own, with a variety of activities planned, and are part of the official program of Terra Madre.
