Slow Food’s million-person, global movement relies on the connections that its International Councilors bring; these individuals connect regional efforts and report back to the Slow Food International team. In February, a new class of International Councilors met for the first time; they will collaborate to support our movement for good, clean and fair food for all in the years ahead. Learn more about our North American representatives below, and feel free to get in touch with them.

Bilal Sarwari, USA

Bilal Sarwari has been a Slow Food USA Board member for the past year and has been involved with Slow Food since 2008. He is an avid gardener and farmed for many years in Georgia. Currently, he serves as a group facilitator and mental health consultant for various organizations, including the USDA.
