Since 2022, Slow Food has served as the official global giving partner of Negroni Week, a fundraising initiative presented by Imbibe and Campari. All funds raised by thousands of bars and restaurants go to networks, individuals and programs that cultivate community, foster equity and justice, and seek a better world for all through food and beverage.

With this partnership, we envision a world where everyone can enjoy food and beverages that are good for them, good for the people who grow and make them, and good for the planet. Application deadlines are in April 2024.

Funds raised from last year’s Negroni Week will be distributed through the Slow Food Negroni Week Fund in three categories:

Education Scholarship

Thirty individuals will receive full support to attend Tales of the Cocktail (New Orleans, USA in July 2024) or Terra Madre Salone del Gusto (Turin, Italy in September 2024). The goal is to give less experienced and connected professionals an opportunity for training, networking and focused learning on sustainability in the industry. Applicants must be above legal drinking age, currently employed in the beverage industry, and interested in incorporating Slow Food values of “good, clean and fair food and beverage for all” into their work.

Negroni Week Innovation Award

We are looking for innovative and community-based projects that center good, clean and fair values in the beverage industry. Awards of $3,000-10,000 will be given to partnerships between two or more organizations, with at least one involved in the beverage sector.

Slow Food Exchanges

By invitation only, these grants connect hospitality professionals with producers in specific sectors. Each Exchange includes a field experience, in-depth forum, networking, and a public event.

There’s two different ways to engage with Negroni Week:

  1. Negroni Week: VENUES can feature a special Negroni and collect funds from those sales to send to Slow Food, which supports the global movement and funds the next year’s Slow Food Negroni Week Fund. Venue registrations will open sometime in summer.
  2. Negroni Fund: ORGANIZATIONS and GROUPS can apply to receive funds for their beverage and hospitality related projects from the previous year’s Negroni Week.
