In celebration of The Ark of Taste, a new release from Hachette featuring 70 rare and distinctive foods from across the US, illustrator Claudia Pearson created a limited-edition tote bag and tea towel to honor the beauty of these unique, beautiful foods. These lovingly created illustrations celebrate the unique beauty of some iconic foods from across the continent. Eleven illustrations, including the Marshall strawberry, Meech’s Prolific quince, Christmas Lima beans, and the fabulously feathered Plymouth Rock chicken, bedeck these items.
- The tote is 100% 10 oz cotton and measures 13″ x 14″. Every tote is cut and stitched in New Hampshire by a family-owned, woman-owned and operated company that is a member/licensee of the Fair Labor Association.
- The flour sack towel uses a fabric which has been used for generations. It is light, 100% cotton and dries quickly. The towel measures 19″ x 33″.
- The hardcover book, written by Giselle Kennedy Lord and David S. Shields and illustrated by Claudia Pearson, is 304 pages and published by Voracious.
