Yan is an artisan cheesemaker living in Burgandy, France. His beautiful way of life was the brainchild of Marjorie Tayler and her daughter Kendall Smith Franchini, both American, who started The Cooks Atelier, a small cooking school in Beune, France, in 2008. Since then, they have been making connections with all sorts of artisan food producers and growers.
