Kids learn where food grows

Kindergarten and 1st grade classrooms will read the book “Tops and Bottoms” and teach students than many vegetables grow in the ground. We will discuss vegetables they may not have eaten yet. We will taste test baby spinach leaves with raspberry vinaigrette samples. Parents will receive a notice to report any food allergies to us ahead of time, and we will also create a handout with information and a recipe for parents to follow up at home.
